Smallmouth bass willingly take grubs all along the Susquehanna River. SFM staff writer Bryan Wilhelm recently (prior to the December chunk ice on the river) caught several dozen bass, casting grubs and home made crank baits while fishing 10 miles above Harrisburg, PA.
