Yesterday Jon Adams and I launched from Bloomsburg and floated to the ripples upstream of Catawissa. Joining us were a number of powerboats, plenty of people fishing from shore, and a couple in rec kayaks just paddling around. For all this effort I landed one smallmouth, and didn't see anyone else land anything. It was a beautiful day to be on the water, but little fishing action. The power boats were also stirring up the water considerably.
The one which I landed was hanging around submerged rocks in the middle of the river. We found nothing around obvious structure. The fluctuating water levels have made patterning the bass very difficult.
